The war memorial Rehmsdorf is a listed war memorial in the village of Rehmsdorf in the municipality of Elsteraue in Saxony-Anhalt . The war memorial is listed in the local monument register under registration number 094 85463 as an architectural monument .

The Rehmsdorf war memorial is located east of the Rehmsdorf village church . The stele was erected by the Rehmsdorf Warrior Association with the support of associations and local works as well as the population. The memorial made by master stonemason Richard Steinmetz from Zeitz for the fallen of the First World War was unveiled on July 12, 1925. The original inscription read Our heroes of the communities of Rehmsdorf, Rumsdorf and Crimmitzschen who fell in faith in Germany's greatness . The stepped stele is crowned by a seated eagle. The eagle is symbolically supposed to watch over the rest of the dead. Above the inscription panel on the front there is a sculpted steel helmet. The names of the 58 fallen in World War I on the side walls of the stele are no longer legible.

In 1945 the front panel was replaced. Since then, the war memorial has served as a memorial for the fallen of both world wars. The new front panel bears the inscription In memory of the dead of the two world wars 1914-1918 1939-1945 Rehmsdorf community .
