The war memorial Rüggeberg is a listed obelisk on the market square of the Ennepetal district of Rüggeberg . It was built in 1875.

The war memorial was erected to commemorate those who fell in the German War in 1866 and the Franco-German War in 1870/71 . Subsequent plaques were attached to commemorate those who died in the First and Second World Wars .
The obelisk stands on a stepped pedestal . Military and pacifist symbols typical of the period such as steel helmets , wreaths , sabers and crosses adorn the pedestal and obelisk.
