Kriegerstein (Schierau)

The Kriegerstein is a war memorial in Schierau (Anhalt-Bitterfeld district).

The upright boulder was erected on the village square in the 1920s. He commemorates the 13 men from the community who died as soldiers in the First World War (1914–1918). The names of the fallen are engraved in a field under an iron cross . Next to it is a sword over an oak leaf.

After the end of the Second World War (1939–1945) a memorial plaque was placed in front of the stone, which also reminds of the victims of this war.
