Criminal case Lydia Gouardo

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lydia Gouardo (born November 13, 1962 ) is a French woman who was mistreated and abused by her adoptive father in the Paris suburb of Coulommes ( Département Seine-et-Marne ) from 1971 to 1999 for over 28 years . The rapes did not end until the father died in 1999, although official bodies were also aware of what had happened.

Life

The birth mother of Lydia Gouardo died in childbirth. At the age of 7, the adoptive father took her out of school, which she was not to attend again.

When Lydia was eight years old, she was deliberately injured with hot water by her stepmother. After returning from the hospital, she was first abused by her adoptive father. Lydia gave birth to her adoptive father, who was also given in the hospital as the father of a child. The martyrdom of women did not end until her father died. Her stepmother was sentenced to four years probation in 2008 for hiding a crime and for sexually abusing one of Lydia's sons herself.

Reactions

What is particularly remarkable about this case is that official bodies in France knew about the case, but did not intervene. The mayor of Coulommes told a journalist: “Yes, I knew, the whole village knew. But don't mess with coulommes. We are not concerned with what people are up to among each other. ”Even after the stepmother's final conviction, the case was hardly noticed and only after the Amstetten case became known, both in France and internationally.
