Kriobolion
As a kriobolion ( Greek κριοβόλιον , Latin criobolium ) the sacrifice of a ram is referred to in ancient religion , especially in the area of the Kybele-Attis cult .
It corresponded to the sacrifice of a bull at the Taurobolium and probably took place in connection with it.
A contest of the Ephebe in Pergamon , in which a ram was caught and sacrificed, was also called Kriobolion .
