Croatian dinar

The Croatian dinar was the currency unit of Croatia from 1991 to 1994 . They were banknotes with a value of 1, 5, 10, 25, 100, 500, 1,000 (each dated October 8, 1991), 2,000, 5,000, 10,000 (each dated January 15, 1992), 50,000, and 100,000 Dinars (each dated May 30, 1993) in circulation. All of these notes showed a portrait of the astronomer Ruđer Josip Bošković on the obverse . On the back, the notes up to 1,000 dinars had a picture of the Zagreb cathedral , the larger notes had a picture of the memorial to Croatian history. The Croatian Dinar was replaced by the Croatian Kuna in 1994 .
