The Croatian Railway Museum ( Croatian : Hrvatski željeznički muzej , short: HŽM ) is a transport museum in Zagreb . In it are rolling the Croatian railway history presented.

history

The museum was founded on March 19, 1991 by the Croatian Railway . The vehicles from the railway museum's collection are parked on a 2400 m² site on the south side of TŽV Gredelj GmbH, which also houses the museum administration . The entrance to the site is on Vukovar Street. Since 2004, the museum has laid around 200 meters of rails in the open space and set up a temporary exhibition on the rail vehicles here.

The exhibition on the outdoor area includes 14 locomotives , 6 railroad cars and a snow plow for steam locomotives. There are eight steam locomotives , one electric locomotive , two diesel-hydraulically driven shunting locomotives , two diesel-electric locomotives and one diesel locomotive .
