Krolf - even Crolf written - is a sport that is mainly in Denmark is common, but is now played in other countries.

The name is a combination of croquet and golf . Similar to these sports, a ball must be holed with a racket. As a rule, twelve holes are played on a course from a distance of between five and 40 meters. In Germany croquet bats and field hockey balls are used. Up to six people can play on one hole at the same time; whoever needs the fewest blows has won. If a ball is successfully pocketed with a single stroke, zero points are counted; if someone accidentally misses the ball, he may repeat the attempt, as only every contact between the club and the ball counts as a stroke. If the ball is not holed with the eighth stroke, ten strokes are counted and play continues at the next hole. You can play in any park or meadow with little effort, you only need a hole with a diameter of approx. 12 cm. The fairways do not have to be specially prepared.

Germany currently has only one permanent crolf course. This includes two courses with twelve holes each. It is located at the Prinz-Luitpold-Bad in Bad Oberdorf . Former golfers Karl-Heinz Brückner and Professor Albert Göttle , President of the Bavarian State Office for the Environment, are among the fans of the sport of krolf .

In other countries the sport does not seem to be very widespread, although it is e.g. B. an Oklahoma Crolf Association and in Norway a Croquet Golfer's Association. Extreme croquet was played early in the US.
