Krommert is a district of Rhede in the Borken district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1968 Krommert was an independent municipality .
geography
Krommert is an agricultural scattered settlement without a dense village center and comprises the southeastern part of the area of the town of Rhede.
history
Krommert was originally a Westphalian peasantry that stretched southeast of the church town of Rhede. The first documentary mention comes from the year 1150. Since the 19th century Krommert formed a rural community in the office of Rhede of the Borken district. On August 1, 1968, Krommert was merged with the other municipalities of the Rhede Office to form a new municipality of Rhede, which received city rights in 1975 .

Culture
Local customs are supported by the Crommert farmers' riflemen , the St. Georgius Schützenbruderschaft Krommert-Renzelhook and the St. Johannes Schützenverein Krommert-Enckhook .
