Krvije

Krvije (Serbian Крвије) is a village in Serbia , which is located in the Opština Petrovac na Mlavi in the Okrug Braničevo .

Important archaeological sites of the Vinca culture (5500 BC) are located here. The Belovode settlement, which belongs to the municipality, was a center of copper metallurgy, as indicated by large amounts of found slag. A copper mine was discovered in Belolice, ten kilometers from Belovode. Archaeologists believe that it dates from 5500 BC. Was in operation until late antiquity.

The village has a primary school and a kindergarten. The church in Krvije Saint Georgije (Serbian Свети Георгије / Sveti Georgije) is dedicated to Saint George .
