Rimanta's Liepa
Rimantas Liepa (born August 18, 1954 in Panevėžys , Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic ) is a Lithuanian politician and former mayor of Panevėžys (1997).
Life
After graduating from high school from 1961 to 1968 at Panevėžys 5th Middle School, he studied at Panevėžys Politechnikum from 1968 to 1973 and became an electrical engineer. From 1975 to 1981 he graduated from the Panevėžys Evening Faculty of Kaunas University of Technology . Since 1998 he has been the general director of UAB “Aukštaitijos vandenys”.
From 1990 to 2007 he was a member of Panevėžys' city council and in 1997 also mayor of the city.
Since 1993 he has been a member of the conservative Tėvynės sąjunga party .
