Krzysztof Jasiewicz (sociologist)

Krzysztof Jasiewicz (* 1949 in Poland ) is a Polish-American sociologist and university professor.

Jasiewicz completed his sociology studies at the Warsaw University in 1972 with an MA . In 1976 he received his doctorate from the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Jasiewicz is a professor at Washington and Lee University in Lexington , Virginia. There he holds the chair "William P. Ames Jr. Professor" and is head of the "Department of Sociology and Anthropology".

He researches and publishes on the topics of elections, voting behavior, the party system and political attitudes in Poland and other Central European countries.
