Kuami Agboh (born December 28, 1977 in Tsevik ) is a former Togolese football player .

Career

Agboh, who has dual citizenship of Togo and France , played for France's junior teams in his youth. He won the European title in 1996 with the French U-19. The following year he took part in the Junior World Championship.

From 1996 Agboh belonged to the professional squad of AJ Auxerre . There he played, apart from the 2003/04 season when he was loaned to Grenoble Foot 38 , until 2005. He then moved to the Jupiler League at KSK Beveren , where he has played since then.

Agboh took advantage of the newly created opportunity by FIFA to play A-internationals for another country instead of playing for the nation you played for in the youth team. He was called up to the Togolese national team for the first time in 2005 and was also in the 2006 World Cup squad , but only played against Switzerland .

Worth mentioning

In April 2003 in the game against Le Havre AC Agboh met an opponent so unlucky that he suffered a fracture of the calf and shin . After the operation he went to see him and gave him his jersey. For this he was voted the fairest player of the month in Ligue 1 by the Conseil National de l'Ethique .
