Kuhn Fischer Partner (KFP) was an architecture firm that had a major impact on residential construction in the greater Zurich area with the construction of over 2,000 apartments. The office emerged in 1990 from Kuhn Fischer Hungerbühler or Kuhn + Stahel Architects and was based in Zurich. In 2009 the company formed a joint venture with ATP and was incorporated as ATP Zurich in 2010 .

history

The founding of KFP goes back to the early sixties. In April 1962, Niklaus Kuhn founded the company Kuhn + Stahel Architects together with his partner at the time, Jörg Stahel . After Jörg Stahel left at the beginning of 1989, Niklaus Kuhn and his two long-term employees Walter Fischer and Ruedi Hungerbühler founded Kuhn Fischer Hungerbühler Architekten AG . In 1990 the unexpected death of Ruedi Hungerbühler left a gap that was closed in 1991 when Peter Winistörfer joined the management team. From 1990 the architecture office called itself Kuhn Fischer Partner. Niklaus Kuhn was a member of the Zurich working group for urban development , from 1990–91 he sat for the EPP in the National Council .

plant

In its almost 45 years of activity, the architecture office has planned and carried out a large number of new buildings and conversions for private builders, cooperatives and the public sector. A large number of the orders resulted from competitions. Her bemerkenswertesten buildings include the award for good buildings awarded superstructures Brahmshof and Gutstrasse, but also the large housing estate Limmatwest, ZKB Steinfels or settlement Wydäckerring .
