Kujawiak (beer)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kujawiak (in German: Kujawier ) is a light beer from Poland with an alcohol content of 5.8%%  vol. It is brewed in the Elbrewery brewery in Elbląg , which belongs to Grupa Żywiec , which in turn is part of the Heineken Group. The tradition of brewing beer in Elbląg dates back to the Middle Ages. The beer was traditionally brewed in Bydgoszcz in Kujawia , from which the name can be derived. When the beer was still brewed in Bydgoszcz, the logo featured a man drinking beer in traditional Kujawi costume. The Pomeranian griffin has been the logo since 2006 .
