The international association of this sport, the World Kuk Sool Association , founded in 1975, has more than 1 million students worldwide. Suh In-hyuk is the founder, grandmaster and president of the association. His official title or salutation is Kuk Sa Nim Suh In-hyuk .

history

There are two different versions of the founding of the Kuk Sool Won. According to one, Kuk Sool Won was founded in 1958 by Suh In-hyuk (also Seo In-hyeok). This version is represented by his organization (the World Kuk Sool Association ). Suh learned from Hapkido pioneer Choi Yong-sul from 1958 .

His brother Seo In-sun (also Suh In-sun) claims that he met Choi Yong-sul for the first time in 1957, received his first Dan in 1958 and opened the first Kuk-Sool-Won school in 1961. In 1961, Seo In-sun founded the Korea Kuk Sool Won Hapkido Association in Korea .
