Kultradio was a private radio broadcaster of Kultradio.fm UG and was broadcast terrestrially via DAB + in Bavaria until November 26, 2018 , since then the program has been broadcast online as a web stream. “Kultradio” was broadcast as a full 24-hour program. The slogan of the party was "cult Radio - Better is the" and straightened with an oldie-based AC - radio format to a target group of mid-20s to mid-60th

Cult radio was broadcast on DAB +. After a test phase lasting several weeks, distribution officially began on January 12, 2015 across Bavaria via channel 10D. The station was located in the studios of TMT GmbH & Co. KG in Bayreuth .
Originally, Kultradio was transmitted via the Bavaria-wide private Mux on channel 10D, but this was switched off in favor of the establishment of the regional DAB + ensembles of the Bavarian broadcasting company. In the further course, Kultradio could be received throughout Bavaria via regional DAB + ensembles.
At the beginning of October 2018, the broadcaster announced that for economic reasons, terrestrial transmission via DAB + would be terminated. On October 5, 2018, moderated broadcasting was discontinued and an unmoderated program was continued. The DAB broadcasting slot was taken over by Radio Teddy on November 26, 2018 . Since November 26, 2018, only an automatically generated web stream has been transmitted. On February 5, 2020, this web stream was also switched off and operations ceased.
Program and accompanying activities
Kultradio's program mainly consisted of tracks from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Kultradio was moderated live on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The daily program included news, weather, traffic reports, current reports and information regionally and nationally, as well as some musical sections every hour.
On its website, Kultradio offered additional services and title information, a live stream in different bandwidths and audio formats and other services in social networks.
