Kulturministerium.ch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kulturministerium.ch is a project of the p & s netzwerk culture association in cooperation with various cultural organizations and cultural associations in Switzerland that was founded in 2005 by Beat Mazenauer and Adi Blum. It sees itself as a “virtual competence and discussion center for questions of culture and cultural policy”. The Kulturministerium.ch wants to promote cultural diversity and ensure compliance with Article 21 of the Federal Constitution of the Swiss Confederation (“The freedom of art is guaranteed”). With various campaigns and initiatives at the cantons and the federal government, it works together with other organizations, among other things, for a pension fund for cultural workers.

Kulturministerium.ch is not an official federal office. The “Minister of Culture”, who has been elected every two years since 2005, is not an official representative of the Federal Office of Culture (BAK) . With the use of the title, with a wink and a little provocation, a critical examination of the official Swiss cultural policy is initiated.
