Brent Dowe

Brent Dowe (born June 29, 1946 in Greenwich Town , Jamaica, † January 28, 2006 in Kingston , Jamaica ) was a Jamaican musician and singer.

Dowe was a member of the established in 1963, Ska - Reggae band The Melodians . In the late 1960s and early 1970s in particular, he had some great successes with the band, including the hits Too young to fall in love , Swing and Dine and Rivers of Babylon . This was covered in 1978 by Frank Farian (Boney M) without the consent of Brent Dowe.

On January 28, 2006, he died impoverished of a heart attack.
