Kumm disc golf course

The Kumm Disc Golf Course ( spelling : KUMM Disc Golf Course ) is one of the two Upper Austrian sports facilities for disc golf . The facility is located in the market town of St. Thomas am Blasenstein in the Perg district in the Strudengau region and is operated by the Kumm-Disc-Golf Association ("Come and do with Disc Golf").

Location and description

The 18 disc golf courses, between 45 and 200 meters long, are distributed in two loops of nine holes each over an area of ​​around 12 hectares of meadows and woods and offer three levels of difficulty. The design of the course is based on the hilly, partly wooded area.

Opened on the first weekend in August 2011 initially with nine tracks and basically all year recordable permanent trail is located about four kilometers west of the town center of St. Thomas on the property of the wood sculptor Karl Buchberger ( vulgo Großrenold) and represents an open-air studio for its with a chainsaw made wooden sculptures .

The sports facility is designed for national and international tournaments and was funded by the Strudengau region as a LEADER project with EU money.
