Kummt (unit)

The collar was a measure of the volume of peat . According to the North German Order of Measure and Weight of the North German Confederation of May 16, 1868, this measure was regulated in Prussia . Magdeburg followed on August 17, 1868. From this point on, Kummt was the fathom measure.

A collar was measured as follows: length 12 feet ; Width at the top 4 feet 10 inches ; Width below 2 feet; Height 3 feet 4 ½ inches
