Act

Nagaoka initially experimented with various techniques and materials until he found the appropriate means of expression in etching in 1971. In the 1970s, he developed his technique in Louise Koehnke-Duewell's etching workshop , above all the two-plate printing for etchings, which was already exceptional at that time. Many of Nagaoka's prints from the 1970s are visual explorations of the Asama and its landscape near his childhood home. Besides the copper plate, paper is its actual material.
