Kuno Krügel (born August 2, 1910 in Bamberg ; † unknown) was a German football player and coach .

Career

Born in Bamberg, Kuno Krügel was last active as a player at 1. FC Bamberg in the Oberliga Süd. This club was also the first coaching station Krügels. In 1949 he was coach of Prussia Dellbrück in the Oberliga West. This engagement ended in October and he started to work as a coach at 1. FC Kaiserslautern . There he replaced Fritz Walter , who had previously trained the team in addition to his role as a player. Krügel led the FCK to its fourth zone championship in a row. In the final round of the German championship, however, the team was eliminated in the quarter-finals against VfB Stuttgart (2: 5). After the 1949/50 season, his contract was not renewed. In 1950 he went to the Stuttgarter Kickers and led the team to promotion to the Oberliga Süd. But Krügel was employed in the following season 1951/52 at the Oberliga league competitor 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 and returned in 1952. He achieved relegation with the Kickers. In the 1953/54 season he was in charge of SC Preußen Dellbrück again. This was his last position as a coach at a higher-class club.
