The Kunsthalle Wil sees itself as a forum for contemporary art. It is located at Grabenstrasse 33 in the town of Wil in the eastern Swiss canton of St. Gallen .

Exhibitions

The focus of the exhibition program is on experimental and space-related work. «Artists are exhibited who have already worked independently for a number of years and have attracted attention with innovative, interesting works, but are not yet among the stars of the art trade. history

The art gallery was founded in 1991. "After three previous locations, the Kunsthalle found its definitive location in 2009 in the newly designed former small cattle market at the foot of the upper old town wall, not far from the city gate." The building, redesigned by the planning office Viola Architekten GmbH, was awarded the Prix Casa 2009 award for good architecture by Wil Tourismus.
