Louie Espinoza (* 12. May 1962 in Globe , Arizona ) is a retired American boxer in the spring and super bantamweight . He was managed by Dave Wolf and trained by Danny Carbajal .

On November 23, 1982 he successfully made his professional debut against the Mexican Adan Uribe with a technical knockout victory in round 3. In January 1987 he won the vacant world title of the WBA in super bantamweight when he beat Tommy Valoy in the 4th round by TKo in a 15 round fight . He defended this belt twice and lost it in late November 1987 to Julio Gervacio on points.

On November 11, 1989, he defeated the Italian Maurizio Stecca in featherweight by technical knockout and thereby became WBO world champion. However, he lost this belt in April of the following year to Jorge Paez by split point decision.

In 1997 he ended his career.
