Jorge Paez
Jorge Paez (* 27. October 1965 in Mexicali , Mexico ) is a former Mexican boxer in the featherweight . He was trained by Manuel Leal .

In November 1984 he successfully made his professional debut. On August 4, 1988 he became world champion of the IBF when he defeated Calvin Grove over 15 rounds by majority decision. He defended this belt in the rematch against Calvin Grove, Louie Espinoza, Steve Cruz , Jose Mario Lopez, Lupe Gutierrez and Troy Dorsey.
On April 4, 1990, he won the union title against WBO world champion Louie Espinoza, whom he had already defeated once. He defended both belts in July of the same year with a draw again against Troy Dorsey and lost him 10 months later to Tony Lopez .
