from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Trier-Saarburg District Art Prize is the Trier-Saarburg District Art Prize , which is awarded every two to three years alternately in the categories of painting, graphics / photography and sculpture / sculpture. The award, first presented in 1986 and endowed with 5,000 euros, was announced in 2011 for the painting section.

Target group

The sponsorship award is aimed at artists up to the age of 40 from the greater region of Saar-Lor-Lux-Rhineland-Palatinate-Wallonia . The greater region currently has around 11.3 million inhabitants. For three decades there have been approaches for cross-border interregional cooperation, also and especially in the field of culture, for example with the organization of the European Capital of Culture 2007.

With the competition, the district of Trier-Saarburg wants to promote the promotion of young artists, but also sees it as a challenge to artists and the public interested in art for mutual dialogue.

The best submitted works will be presented in an exhibition.
