The Pertolzhofen Art Association has set itself the goal of supporting the Pertolzhofener Kunstdingertage. He helps to organize and carry out the event programs and projects such as artist symposiums, exhibitions, concerts and poetry readings. He is also the editor of the Pertolzhofener Hefte, in which contemporary artists are presented. The association also supports the establishment and organization of the Pertolzhofen art gallery. He also donates the Pertolzhofen Art Prize for contemporary artists.
The association is a member of the cultural cooperative KoOpf Oberpfalz .
Pertolzhofen Art Thing Days
The Pertolzhofener Kunstdingertage has been held every year since 1993 from the end of June to the beginning of July. Contemporary artists exhibit their works and lead through the exhibition every evening. The Pertolzhofen Art Thing Days end with a big party with music, performances, food and drink and a campfire.
Pertolzhofener Kunsthalle
The Pertolzhofener Kunsthalle is a sea container with several windows through which the respective exhibitions can be viewed. There is a photovoltaic system on its roof that ensures the lighting around the clock. In this way, anyone passing by can view the exhibition at any time of the day or night without incurring personnel or electricity costs. The art gallery is on the Bavarian-Bohemian friendship cycle path . It was realized through funding from the EU, the Bavarian Ministry of Agriculture and LEADER +, the companies Iliotek-Solaranlagen und Stahlbau Seegerer and through the work of the members of the Kunstverein, and it was put into operation on May 26, 2007.
