The Kuranko or Koranko is an ethnic group living in Sierra Leone and southern Guinea . They speak the Kuranko language of the same name . As a rule, the Kuranko are a peaceful people who have maintained a separate ethnic identity despite years of mixed tribes.

In Sierra Leone alone the Koranko (as of 2015) belong to almost 314,000 people, of which about 277,000 use Koranko as their mother tongue.
