Le Morne-Vert is a commune in the overseas department of Martinique . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Pierre . The residents call themselves Morniverdais or Verdimornais . The scattered settlement lies at the foot of the Pitons du Carbet mountain range in a mountainous and wooded area. It belonged to the canton of Le Carbet until its dissolution in 2015 .
