Kurd Yek (Kurd 1) was a Kurdish television station based in Paris and was founded by Kendal Nezan , head of the Kurdish Institute in Paris .

The station Kurd Yek saw itself as the first politically independent station of the Kurds and broadcast mainly in the Kurmanji dialect. The aim of the exclusively cultural contributions was to promote the Kurdish language and preserve Kurdish culture . The Kurdish Institute in Paris had to stop broadcasting on December 31, 2012 due to lack of funds.

The official start of broadcasting on April 27 was with the children's program Keskesor.

  • Telenovelas , documentaries and cinema films dubbed in Kurdish

  • Dîroka Me ("Our Story"): Program on the history of the Kurds.
