Spa area

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A spa area is a separately designated inner-city area in a spa , which serves the special protection of the spa business . The spa area usually includes those parts of the village or district in which the spa patients or guests primarily stay because of the spa facilities, entertainment options and the accommodation and catering establishments available there. The regulations for spa areas are country-specific and are stipulated in the individual federal states either through a law ("Kurortegesetz") or an ordinance (see also: Kurort ). In most federal states, the designation of at least one spa area by a municipality is a prerequisite for its recognition as a spa.

Spa areas are usually shown in the respective land use plans and represent other special areas in accordance with Section 11 of the Building Use Ordinance . For spa areas, there are separate provisions for numerous regulatory areas at both state and municipal level. Examples of this are separate development plans and special regulations in the noise and immission protection laws. Also, the obligation to pay a health resort fee does not apply to the entire municipality, but only to accommodation within the health resort areas.
