The listed Electoral Saxon distance column Bad Gottleuba one of the post mile column , on behalf of the elector I. Frederick Augustus of Saxony by the land and border commissioner Adam Friedrich Zürner in the first half of the 18th century in the Electorate of Saxony have been built.

It is located on the market square, right in front of house number 13 (Gasthof Hillig), in the Bad Gottleuba district in the eastern Ore Mountains twin town of Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübel in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

history

The distance column was erected in 1731 with 65 distance information on four sides. The column survived the devastating city fire of 1865 and the Müglitz flood in 1927. It was restored in 1877, 1935 and 1980/81.

construction

The distance column consists of seven parts. The base, pedestal and the crown of the pedestal form the substructure. The superstructure consists of an intermediate plate, shaft, coat of arms piece and attachment.
