The listed half-mile column Bad Lausick is one of the post-mile columns that were erected in the first half of the 18th century in the Electorate of Saxony on behalf of Elector Friedrich August I of Saxony by Land and Border Commissioner Adam Friedrich Zürner . It is located in the Steinbach district of the Saxon spa town of Bad Lausick in the Leipzig district , on the corner of Lauterbacher and Beuchaer Strasse.

history

The column belongs to the post road from Grimma to Borna . It bears the year 1722 and the row number 6. The column is made of porphyry tufa . In 1974 the damaged shaft of the column was found in the ditch, a copy was made and in 1981 the reconstructed half-mile column was re-erected. The original part of the shaft was not used again and was transferred to the Trebsen mountain camp . It could no longer be found there in 2016.
