The Dahme post mile pillar is one of the post mile pillars that were erected in the first half of the 18th century in the Electorate of Saxony on behalf of Elector Friedrich August I of Saxony by Land and Border Commissioner Adam Friedrich Zürner . It is a distance column. It is located on the old market next to the town hall in the small town of Dahme / Mark in Brandenburg in the Teltow-Fläming district .

history

The column was placed on the market on June 28, 1756 and badly damaged by a horse and cart on January 14, 1881. Several restorations, partial replicas and relocations followed, etc. a. to the castle and the former train station, the last of which ended on May 25, 2008 and resulted in the relocation to the original location at the town hall. All the original parts of the column still preserved are exhibited in the castle ruins used for events.

The distance column consists of seven parts. The base, pedestal and the crown of the pedestal form the substructure. The superstructure consists of an intermediate plate, shaft, coat of arms piece and attachment.
