The Kurt-Rieß-Anlage is a sports center in Leverkusen . The plant was named after Kurt Rieß, a former member of the Bayer AG Board of Management .
The facility is located in the Küppersteg district of Leverkusen near the BayArena . The site includes a stadium , the Smidt Arena and the former ice rink. The stadium has a capacity of 2,000 and is used by the athletics department of TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen . From 2008 to 2011 the soccer players from Bayer 04 Leverkusen played their games on the Kurt Rieß facility.
