Kurt Hagen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kurt Hagen (born February 11, 1884 in the German Empire , † after 1953) was a German actor in the stage and film industry and a singer.

Live and act

Hagen has appeared on stage since the 1910s, for example at the Deutsches Theater in Hamburg before the First World War. In the 1920s and early 1930s he was a member of the Basel Stadttheater ensemble, where he was part of the choir staff as second bass. When the National Socialists came to power, Hagen returned to the Reich and was immediately brought to film in Berlin. There he was seen continuously in batch roles; for example, Hagen embodied a blacksmith, a court sergeant, a farmer and a chamberlain. After 1945, Hagen cannot be identified either in film or in the theater, but in all probability he lived until at least 1953, as he was listed in the German Stage Yearbook until then.
