Kurt Jürgen Huch

Kurt Jürgen Huch (* 1938 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German philosopher, sociologist and translator.

Kurt Jürgen Huch studied philosophy and sociology and received his doctorate in 1966 on the philosophy-historical requirements of Heidegger's ontology . He worked as a radio editor and publishing editor in Frankfurt until 1972, then as a teacher for social sciences in Goch .

In 1972 his work was published in the class society , which reached a total German-language circulation of 65,000 in the following 10 years and was translated into Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. In it Huch shows the political character of every upbringing and analyzes how the class structure of society influences the upbringing of children .

Huch translated writings by Andrew Crowcroft , Bernard Lewis, and Charles Mackay into German.
