Kurt Kratena

Kurt Kratena (born September 2, 1961 in Vienna ) is an Austrian economist . His research field includes input-output analysis and energy economic analysis.

Life

Kratena studied economics and business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and received her doctorate in 1988. From 1993 to 2015 he worked at the Austrian Institute for Economic Research (WIFO) in Vienna. In 2008 he completed his habilitation in environmental economics at the University of Klagenfurt . On behalf of the European Commission , Kratena and colleagues created a long-term input-output model ('FIDELIO 1') for the EU-27 in 2013. Since 2015 Kratena has been director of the research center CESAR (Center of Economic Scenario Analysis and Research) in Seville (Spain).
