Kurt List
Kurt List (born February 3, 1954 in Altneudörfl ) is an Austrian politician ( BZÖ , formerly FPÖ ) and company commander. List was a member of the Austrian National Council from 2008 to 2013 .
education and profession
List attended elementary school in Bad Radkersburg from 1960 to 1964 and then went to the Bundesrealgymnasium and Bundesgymnasium in Graz. In 1971 he moved to the music-pedagogical BRG in Bad Radkersburg, which he completed in 1973 with the Matura. List did his military service from 1973 to 1974 and attended the Theresian Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt between 1975 and 1978 , where he was retired as a lieutenant in the air force. List then took on various staff functions at the Aviation School in Zeltweg from 1978 to 1982 and was transferred to the Nittner Graz Thalerhof Air Base in 1982. List is in command of the air base company and has been a lieutenant colonel since 1998. The Graz-Thalerhof military airfield was closed in 2013.
politics
List was a member of Feldkirchen's municipal council from 1990 to 2000 and was a member of the Styrian Landtag for the FPÖ between 1996 and 2005. In 2005 he switched to the BZÖ in the course of the split in the FPÖ. In the National Council election in 2008 he was elected to the National Council through the Styrian constituency and was sworn in as a member of parliament on October 28, 2008. He left in 2013.
