Kurt Nowack

Kurt Nowack (born July 18, 1922 in Essen - † July 18, 2015 ) was a German SPD politician .

education and profession

Kurt Nowack attended elementary school. Then he made an apprenticeship as a locksmith, which he completed with the journeyman's examination. In 1945 he was drafted into mining, initially underground, then in 1946 above ground as a craftsman. Nowack attended the Academy of Labor from 1957 to 1958. From 1958 to 1960 he was an exempt member of the works council. In 1960 he became secretary at IG Bergbau und Energie in Bochum.

politics

Kurt Nowack had been a member of the SPD since 1947. He became the local club chairman in 1959, and from 1972 to 1980 he was deputy sub-district chairman in Essen. From 1964 to 1970 Nowack was a member of the city council of Essen. Since 1945 he has been a member of the mining and energy industry union.

Kurt Nowack was a directly elected member of the 7th , 8th and 9th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia from July 26, 1970 to May 29, 1985 for constituency 063 Essen I and constituency 077 Essen III.

In 1980 he won the most votes in his constituency with 71% that a member of parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia received.

Private

Nowack was married twice and had a son, Willi Nowack . Nowack died on his 93rd birthday.
