Kurt Scheller (born March 22, 1932 in Switzerland ; † November 2003 ) was a Swiss football player .
Career
Kurt Scheller played for FC Winterthur (FCW) for the first time in the 1949/50 season and shot a hat trick in the first game against FC Kreuzlingen . After eleven years, the FCW rose as the undefeated Swiss 1st division champions back into the National League B. From the 1950/51 season, Scheller formed the top of the storm together with the brothers Aldo and Toni Pastega for two seasons. After Toni Pastega left in 1952, Kurt Berger was Scheller's new strike partner. In 1953/54 Kurt Scheller was the top scorer in the National League B with 17 goals.
He then moved to the BSC Young Boys (YB) in the National League A. In 1955 he was the second best scorer in the National League A, in 1956 he was in the Cup final with YB and in 1957 he was finally Swiss champion with the Bernese . On April 11, 1956, Kurt Scheller came on in the 56th minute in a friendly against Brazil for his only national team appearance.
After the championship he moved to the Grasshoppers Zurich , where he played two seasons. In 1959/60, at the end of his career, he played another season for FC Winterthur, which had meanwhile been promoted to the National League A.
In August 1990 Scheller was ad interim coach of the first team at FC Winterthur . Scheller died in November 2003.
