Kurtrierscher Amtshof Amtshof, main building

The property at Pfaffenwiesbacher Straße 6 in Wehrheim was originally the Kurtriersche Amtshof . Today it is the Hofgut with the Etzel farm shop. As a cultural monument, it is under monument protection .

The Wehrheim office had been dual in the HRR . The rulers were on the one hand the Catholic Kurtrier and the Protestant Nassau-Dillenburg , later Orange. The denominational difference, in particular, led both parties to vigorously defend their rights. There was therefore a Catholic and a Protestant church, a Kurtrier and a Nassau bailiff and, accordingly, a Kurtrier and a Nassau Amthof .

The Kurtriersche Amthof was built in 1632 under the (Kurtrier) magistrate von Hohenfeld. The Dreiseithof was outside of Wehrheim's city walls. The yard area extended from Burggasse to today's Pfaffenwiesbacher Straße. In 1752 the electoral state acquired the official seat. After the end of Kurtrier due to the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss 1803 the property fell to Nassau-Weilburg and 1806 to the Duchy of Nassau .

The property consists of three-sided farm buildings. The main house was built in the 19th century from older timber in half-timbered construction.
