The Kusillo Museum (Spanish: Museo Kusillo or Centro Interactivo Kusillo ) is a museum in the Bolivian city of La Paz .

The museum has set itself the task of conveying scientific content (with a focus on health and the environment) to children and young people. There are many interactive exhibits and hands-on seminars. The museum is located on the eastern edge of downtown on the striking Laikakota Hill, near the Hernando Siles Stadium. The builder and operator is the private cultural foundation Quipus ( Fundación Cultural Quipus ), the land was made available by the city free of charge. The museum opened in December 1997 and has expanded several times since then.

The name of the museum comes from the traditional Bolivian (carnival) figure of the "Kusillo" ( Quechua k'usillu , "monkey"), a brightly masked and disguised jester and buffoon.

A special attraction is the inclined elevator Funicular Kusillo (" Kusillo cable car ") from the manufacturer OTIS . It connects the museum with the Avenida del Ejército street below ; it overcomes a height difference of 38 m on a stretch of almost 48 m and offers a spectacular view of the city while driving. Because of its location at around 3600  m , the Funicular Kusillo is the highest inclined lift or funicular system in the world.
