The Kutzbachstraße is a street in the center of Trier . It runs between the horse market and Simeonstiftplatz . The street is a one-way street .

history

The street is named after the Trier conservator Friedrich Kutzbach . Until 1943 the street was called Simeonstiftstraße.

In the Middle Ages, the Abbey Mill of St. Simeon was located on the street, which is why the lower part was called Mühlengasse. At that time the upper part was called Henkergasse.

Cultural monuments

There are five cultural monuments on the road , including the so-called Vogtsburg and the St. Thomas Chapel. Also worth mentioning is the historic canal cover in the street. In contrast to many other town houses in the street, the building at number 2 was demolished.
