The southern parts of the Trier main station and the entire railway line up to the level of Güterstraße 9 are still completely in the Gartenfelder area. Then the city district border gradually swings a few meters to the east until the two western tracks, from about the level of Güterstrasse 1 and south of Gartenfeldbrücke , belong to the city district Mitte and only the eastern, third track to Gartenfeld. Today's local district Trier-Mitte / Gartenfeld borders in the west on the district Trier-West / Pallien , in the north on Trier-Nord , in the northeast on Trier-Kürenz , in the southeast on Trier-Olewig and in the south on Trier-Heiligkreuz and Trier- South .
