Kwadjo Adjei Darko

Kwadjo Adjei Darko (born May 10, 1948 in Chiraa , Ghana ) is a leading politician in Ghana. He comes from Chiraa, a town in the Brong-Ahafo region in Ghana, and is a trained education scientist , chemist and mathematician.

Darko initially served as Minister of Mines in the cabinet of John Agyekum Kufuor . In the cabinet, Darko became Minister of Local Government and Rural Development in August 2004, succeeding Stephen Asamoah-Boateng . Between 2005 and July 2007 he was Minister of State at the President's Office . On August 1, 2007 he was again successor to Stephen Asamoah-Boateng, this time as Minister for Local Administration, Rural Development and Environmental Protection.

Darko is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and a member of the Ghanaian parliament for the constituency of Sunayi West in the Brong-Ahafo region .

Darko is married and has three children.
