Kwan Um Zen School

The Kwan Um School of Zen (관음 선종 회, KUSZ, Kwan Um School of Zen) was in 1983 from which Korea originating Zen -Master Seungsahn in Providence , USA , was founded.

The school now has numerous centers around the world, with a focus on the US, Europe and Asia. The main European temple was established in Paris in 1997 . The main European temple has been located in Berlin on the ExRotaprint site since 2008 .

The school's lead teacher is Zen master Soeng Hyang , and the lead teacher in Europe is Zen master Wu Bong .

Mu Soeng, a longtime monk, describes the Kwan Um School as a unique blend of Pure Land and Zen elements singing the name of the Bodhisattva of Compassion and vigorous prostration characteristic of Korean popular Buddhist practice.
