The Kyabobo National Park (English Kyabobo National Park ) is a 35,980 hectare national park in Ghana .

location

The national park is located on the state border with Togo in the east of the country, about 320 kilometers (as the crow flies) northeast of the capital Accra and about 200 kilometers north of the city of Ho in the Oti region in the Nkwanta District.

description

The protected area was established in 1997 by decision of the Ghanaian government. Ghana's second highest mountain, Mount Dzebobo , is included and offers the visitor a view of Lake Volta . To the east is the Togolese National Park Fazao-Malfakassa .

In terms of nature, the park is located in a transition zone between tropical rainforest and tree savannah.

In addition to the fauna that can be found here, in particular the elephants , buffalos , monkeys , diverse birds and butterflies , the specialty of this park is the multitude of waterfalls that plunge into Ghana from the Togolese side.
