Kylotonn is a French development company for computer games . The studio specializes in racing games. It has been a subsidiary of the French publisher Bigben Interactive since 2018 .

description

Kylotonn emerged from 4X Studios, the development team of the French middleware manufacturer 4X Technologies (Phoenix3D-Engine). The studio was closed after only one release, the first-person shooter Iron Storm , in 2002 and the core team initially continued to work as the development department of RVP Productions under the direction of Roman Vincent. In 2006 Vincent founded Kylotonn Entertainment with Yann Tambellini. The first title, Bet On Soldier , was a spiritual successor to Iron Storm. Kylotonn developed the Phoenix3D engine under the name Kt Engine and has been using it for his games ever since.

Between 2011 and 2015, the studio's games appeared under the name Kylotonn Games. In 2015, Kylotonn took over the further development of the World Rally Championship racing game series , while Bigben Interactive took over distribution. Since then, the company has published under the name Kylotonn Racing. A branch studio was opened in Lyon in April of the same year. In October 2018, Bigben Interactive announced that it had acquired Kylotonn as part of its expansion. At that time, 80 developers were working in the Paris studio and 20 in Lyon. The month before, Kylotonn had published the racing game V-Rally 4 , a sequel to the racing game series by Eden Games / Atari , together with Bigben .
